Christian Orellana is currently in progress of achieving his Bachelors Degree at the City University of New York Hunter College. Christian is focusing on many fields related to media, from animation and video editing, to programming and information technology. He currently works as an IT/Media intern at Hunter College’s Film and Media Department, and as an IT contractor for WebServes, a non-profit organization located in Manhattan, New York, while also working under the department of Center for Teaching and learning here at LaGuardia Community College. He aims to achieve his Master’s degree after earning his Bachelors. In his free time he likes to hit the streets and play the drums in public, earning a little extra cash.

Kyaw Thein was graduated from Baruch college with computer information system major in 2016, and he also graduated from LaGuardia Community college with computer technology telecommunication major in 2011. He came from Myanmar which is also known as Burma. Since he was thirteen years old, he was interested in higher level Computer Technology skills. He had studied computer software and hardware engineering in his country, and he realized that his computer skills were not enough for him to become successful in the Business field. Thus, he decided to learn higher computer technology and business management in the United States of America...

Lang Tuang graduated from LaGuardia Community College in Computer Network Administration. He is currently pursuing his Bachelor Degree in Computer Science at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. He is also a Cisco Certified Network Associate in Routing and Switching (CCNA). He is passionate about Computer and technology. During his leisure time, Lang also loves to go around New York City and photograph the city's landscape.

Lissy Gonzalez is an Electronic Design and Multimedia student at City College. She was born in the Dominican Republic during a power outage and immigrated to New York City shortly after. She became an STM after reading a flyer for the position. Demonstrating her technology and leadership skills, she was promoted to an IDA position where she may remain as she pursues not only a BFA, but also, an MFA. Lissy is a photographer for the Harambee Dance Company and a freelance video editor for The Ministry of Culture. In her free time she can always be found making tall people laugh, playing piano, and writing in her journals.

Mutaz is a very hopeful person. He always sees the glass as being half full, and for you, things can always improve and thrive. His life is guided by his ability to see the bright side in every situation, to think of the rainbow after the storm. He always believes things can get better, and there could not be a better way to view this life. Keep up with the positive attitude and spread it around, we all need some more hope in our hearts.

Ami Kumagai is a native of Japan. After spending several semesters in a Japanese university. She received a study abroad scholarship. Ami came to the United States to pursue her degree in Higher Education. Amazed by the energy and diversity in New York City, she became a member of LaGuardia Community College where she started her first job with the Center for Teaching and Learning in 2012. Ami began working as a STM and a year after she was promoted to the IDA position and have been holding the title since. She is currently studying Marketing Advertisement and Computer Information System at Baruch College. When Ami is not working or studying, she enjoys acting, exotic gourmet, and fashion designing. When asked to describe herself, Ami considers herself as “Bold” and “friend of everybody”.

Chaudhry Wahid started working as a Student Technology Mentor for the Center for Teaching and Learning in January 2011. On September 2011, at the end of his internship, he was offered the opportunity to continue working as Student Technology Mentor. He was promoted to the position of Instructional Design Assistant in January 2013. Originally from Pakistan, he received his A.S. from LaGuardia Community College in Computer Science in 2011. Currently he is pursuing his B.A. in Computer Information Systems with a minor in Mathematics from Baruch College. Chaudhry has a great passion for technology and enjoys helping others to learn about technology..

Daniel Lino joined the Center for Teaching and Learning in the fall of 2009 as a Student Technology Mentor. It wasn’t until the summer of 2011 where he was granted the position of Instructional Design Assistant. It was from his IDA experience where he was able to branch out from one department to others, currently handling three positions. For this, he is grateful for his I.D.A. position. He is approaching his Final semester at LaGuardia Community College, where he is pursuing his Associates degree in Computer Operations: Network Administration and Security. With great determination, his goal for after he graduates is to restart college in a different profession; possibly looking into Radiology or computer system engineering.

Jongbu Sherpa(Joseph)is an enthusiastic person from Nepal who admires and enjoys the work of Maths and Science. He has his Associate Degree in Computer Science from LaGuardia Community College,CUNY and he is currently doing his Bachelors in Queens College, CUNY. As a Computer Science Student, I find the application of mathematics fascinating as it plays a vital role in discoveries that benefits humans. I have excellent problem solving and research skills. I am a team player with strong attention to detail and possesses a client focused attitude with a keen sense of responsibility. Highly proficient in Java, C++, PHP and other high-level programming languages with good experience of Relational Database Management System and Android Development.
