Spring 2024 Nursing Program ATI TEAS Deadline, June 4th 2024

Candidacy Application

As of Spring 2021 the process for applying for Candidacy has changed. You are required to request the Candidacy Form by emailing HealthSci@lagcc.cuny.edu. The Candidacy Form will then be sent to your LaGuardia Live email for you to complete and submit. We no longer send or receive the Candidacy Form as an attachment.

Change of Major

As of Fall 2021 the Change of Major process has changed. You are required to request Change of Major Form by emailing HealthSci@lagcc.cuny.edu. The Change of Major Form will then be sent to your LaGuardia Live email with a unique Link for you to complete and submit. We no longer send or accept the form as an attachment.

Nursing Programs – ATI TEAS
ATI Remote Proctoring – The exam will be conducted remotely, please review the instructions.

As of Spring 2020 semester in order to advance into nursing clinical coursework, (Application for candidacy in RN or PN programs), students must provide documentation in one of the following categories to the Office of the Registrar (C107):

• U.S. Citizenship
• International student with F-1 status
• Asylee
• Refugee
• Temporary Protected Status (TPS)
• Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA)
• Individuals paroled into the United States whose parole has not expired
• Persons residing in the U.S. pursuant to an Order of Supervision
• Persons granted a stay of deportation/removal
• Persons granted an indefinite voluntary departure
• Persons on whose behalf an immediate relative petition has been approved
• Persons who have filed an application for adjustment of status to permanent resident
• Persons granted Deferred Action Status
• Persons who entered and have continuously residency in the U.S. before 01/01/1972
• Persons granted suspension of deportation or cancellation of removal
• Cuban/Haitian entrants 16.Persons with a pending application for asylum, withholding of removal or deportation, protection under the Convention Against Torture (CAT), cancellation of removal, or TPS
• Persons in T or U non-immigrant status
• Self-petitioner under the Violence Against Women Act 19.Other persons living in the U.S. who are not
  unlawfully present

There is a deadline to apply for License Pracctical Nursing Candidacy every Spring I [12 week] session. It is the student’s responsibility to check the Academic Calendar for this date. Students can only register for LPN Candidacy (LPN000) by emailing the Health Sciences Department at HealthSci@lagcc.cuny.edu. Change of major does not automatically place you into Candidacy.
