They may enroll in individual Honors courses (which will be considered as Honors Participation) if they meet the minimum Honors requirements. With this option, there is no minimum number of Honors courses that a student is required to take.
Highly motivated and talented students may also choose to be involved in the comprehensive program (The Honors Concentration) following the Honors curriculum, and completing a minimum of 20-22 Honors credits (7 Honors courses). To receive an Honors Concentration notation on their official transcript and commencement book, Honors Concentration students must earn at least a B grade in each of the 7 minimum Honors courses in the Honors curriculum of their major.
New students at LaGuardia who have a B+ or above high school average, and would like to complete the Honors Program Concentration. Permission from the Honors Program Director is required.
Current LaGuardia students who have completed 12 college credits and achieved a minimum GPA of 3.2, and would like to complete the Honors Program Concentration.
