We use our Digication ePortfolios to collect artifacts for Outcomes Assessment. If you are teaching (or taking) a course that has been designated as a course where we will be collecting artifacts, this information will help you understand how to deposit work or view work.
Your professor will let you know if you need to deposit work for Outcomes Assessment. This work is collected so that we, the faculty, know that we are doing a good job preparing you in your majors for transfer or careers. Depositing work for Outcomes Assessment has no effect on your grade within a class or on your ability to graduate from LaGuardia. This just helps us learn what we can do to better serve you.
You can find instructions on how to deposit work on the ePortfolio website: Depositing in Digication
Please follow instructions for faculty to make sure the correct class/competency/assignment relationship is indicated. Let us know if you have any problems. You only need to check one section of the course; all sections will show the same course/competency/assignment.
If you have asked your students to deposit work for Outcomes Assessment you can check their progress by following the instructions here: Checking Student Deposits
We think these instructions are clear, and hope that students and faculty can follow them easily enough. Please let us know if you have any suggestions. The ePortfolio team is also offering faculty training on assessment depositing. Please contact Mercedes del Rosario.
For technical questions, please contact Ros Orgel or Mercedes del Rosario.
For questions about assessment and competencies please contact Marisa A. Klages.
