The Public Employees Safety and Health Act (PESH Act) of the State of New York requires public employers to enforce federal occupational safety laws in the work place. At LaGuardia Community College, that responsibility falls on the Environmental Health and Safety Office (EHS). In order to provide a safe working environment for our faculty and staff, the EHS Office conducts inspections, develops written policies and provides training as necessary.
